Diary of The Journal Keeper

A new discovery that I ask you to think about…

Entry Number Four

Dear Friend,

If you read “How This Journey Began” (found in the Diary of The Journal Keeper section of this site) you know that upon my first printing of the antique glass plate negatives from 1829 - no faeries appeared at all originally on any of the images. It wasn’t until one of the prints accidentally was struck by moonlight - that the black & white image began to transform (with beautiful color) as the faerie slowly faded up onto the parchment. Astonished by this, I quickly ran all the images through the moonlight! Watching the faeries magically appear one by one was a life altering experience…in that instant I knew that it was all real. The “Unseen” world was calling to me and I vowed my allegiance to their cause. Since I have been lead down some mysterious (as well as frustrating) pathways. At times I have found myself in what has felt like a dead end only to be amazed by something completely unexpected. This is exactly what happened and what I would like to share with you…

Let me begin here; each glass plate was labeled with the name of that faerie scrawled across it. (This was how I was able to match the proper image with the text found in the old Journal which had described each faerie by name.)

Twelve of the glass plates produced images that reacted with the moon’s light, but I actually had found more than 12 plates. A total of 48 plates had been found and each had been labeled (although some indecipherably). No matter how many times I had tried printing these other plates and setting them in the moons light, there was never any reaction. I had a number of different theories as to why this was happening and had experimented all different ways… but honestly, nothing seemed to work and I had run out of ideas. I knew the moons light affected them but I felt that perhaps there was some other missing component that I just didn’t understand yet.

So I decided to take the prints and leave them outside so as to give them every opportunity to change. Twenty one days had passed and nothing had changed. Then just 3 weeks ago I noticed one of the images had slightly changed. Exactly how or why I don’t know, but a purple hue had overtaken the blue black of the print. (The photo was of an old castle or tower of some sort.) The plate had been labeled “Faerica.” I remembered Faerica had been mentioned in the old journal so I looked up to find out who she was. She was known as the “Ruler of Peace.” She had inspired great leaders throughout our history to choose peaceful solutions. Sometime she was successful in her missions of peace and other times not. She traveled across our land and swept her mighty wings over the earth where battles had been fought and human life had been brutally ended. She absorbed the pain and transformed the land back to its natural state of harmony.

The Journal quotes her to say, “…I weep for the unconscious loss of life in your history over the need for power, greed, fear & revenge. Man’s choice to assume one human life is more important that another is one of the greatest challenges in you evolutionary process. Don’t be fooled by the flag of fear that is waved before you…make a choice for peace. Violence by its very nature will never create peace. I seek to inspire the “peaceful ruler” and ask you to make choices that returns “Love” as your supreme ruler.”

It has been 21 days and each day more of Faerica’s beautiful image has been revealed …some how I believe this time it is not the moonlight that brings this faerie forth but the light of humanity…those who yearn for peace, yearn to end the violence and believe in a vision of a better world. I believe this and if you do as well, call upon her to inspire the “Peaceful Rulers” of our world and the one which lies within …
